A beautiful French floral pattern painted by the 19th Century artist Eugène Petit for the royal Château de Fontainebleau, probably as a wall paper pattern. Petit is known for his phenomenal paintings of still life, flowers, fruits, and textile patterns. This work was painted in c.1865, Epoque Napoleon III.
